Jordan Johnson vs. Adam Milstead

Round 1

Johnson connects with a reaching jab but gets tagged with a counter hook from Milstead as he stands in the pocket. Milstead comes over the top with a right hand as the 205ers circle in the center of the cage. Again, Johnson leans inside and is made to pay with a Milstead combination. Milstead stuffs a long takedown attempt, bouncing off the cage and disengaging with Johnson to continue striking from range. Johnson's next takedown try puts Milstead against the wall with a single-leg. Johnson tries for the better part of a minute to make something of the position, but he's forced to retreat when Milstead zaps him with a heavy, close-quarters combination. Johnson starts another clinch and leans on Milstead for the final 30 seconds of the frame.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Milstead
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Milstead
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Milstead

Round 2

Johnson sticks a jab, then another that leaves Milstead swinging at air with a hard right hand. Milstead slips in the center of the cage, scrambles back to his feet but gets shoved against the fence again, this time with Johnson controlling the outside position with an underhook. Johnson does some light body work in the clinch but referee Mark Smith wants to see more action as they hit the two-minute mark. Milstead is struggling to free himself from the clinch, but now he makes Johnson pay for the position with two hard right hands. Referee Smith separates the fighters with 2:15 on the clock; seconds later, Johnson pushes Milstead back to the wall, then trips him to the ground for the first takedown of the bout. Milstead climbs back to his feet but can't free himself from Johnson's grasp. Referee Smith restarts the fighters in the center again with 25 seconds remaining, and Milstead gets the last word with a right hand over the top.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Johnson
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Johnson
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Johnson

Round 3

Milstead counters a lazy leg kick with a hard right hand; Johnson wobbles forward, trying to clinch after being tagged by the counter. Milstead denies the clinch, but Johnson recovers quickly, and the light heavyweights resume circling in the center of the cage. Milstead connects with another right hand, keeping the wrestler Johnson on the outside. Ninety seconds in, Johnson finds his range with a few jabs for Milstead's already bloody face, then dives for another double-leg at the fence. Milstead doesn't stay glued to the wall this time, circling back to the middle to continue striking. Johnson is starting to take control of the striking in the second half of the round, putting volume on his opponent while Milstead throws out mostly single power punches. Johnson shoots and completes a takedown at the fence with just under two minutes left to fight. Milstead posts and stands, still glued to the fence by Johnson with a clinch, then another double-leg. Johnson comes back up to the clinch and gets drilled with a knee to the gut. Milstead escapes just before the final horn and starts windmilling with punches, but he can't put away Johnson before the end.

Bryan Caraway vs. Cody Stamann

Round 1

Caraway shoots in behind a left hand and gets stood up by Stamann, who sprawls on the next shot from "Kid Lightning," too. Caraway keeps hold of Stamann's right leg and drives him against the fence, where he continues to work for the takedown in the second minute. Stamann underhooks Caraway's arms to defend a double-leg, and now the bantamweights come back to the center of the cage. After the fighters trade knees, Caraway shoots from a mile out and winds up pressing Stamann against the fence again. Stamann fights his way out of the clinch with a nasty knee to the body. Caraway shoots again, this time in the center of the cage, and finally plants Stamann on the ground. Working from half guard, Caraway leans left to right across Stamann's body, then straddles his head to set up a reverse triangle choke. Stamann is in a bad position, but Caraway doesn't have the triangle completely cinched, and Stamann is able to ride out the final 30 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Caraway
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Caraway
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Caraway

Round 2

Stamann does well to fend off Caraway's wrestling-based attack in the opening minute of round two. The Michigan native uses leg kicks and speedy right hands to hold Caraway at bay. Toward the middle of the frame, Stamann begins to find the mark on Caraway with some hard right hands. Caraway continues to press forward, however, and eventually jams Stamann against the fence with a shot-turned-clinch. Stamann grabs Caraway in a front headlock, so Caraway drops for a single-leg. Stamann shoves him away and lands a clean right hand that forces Caraway to abandon his next takedown try. Caraway initiates another clinch toward the end of the round and is kneed in the breadbasket by Stamann.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Stamann
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Stamann
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Stamann

Round 3

Caraway comes out throwing hands, pressing forward on Stamann with some hard rights and low kicks. Stamann is still the quicker fighter as the final frame begins, however, and he's able to evade many of Caraway's more telegraphed punches. Stamann sprawls on a long double-leg, but Caraway switches to a single and drives his opponent against the wall. Stamann breaks loose with just about two minutes left to fight, and the bantamweights get back to trading strikes in the center of the cage. Caraway shoots and is denied in the center of the cage, and now the 135ers are going punch-for-punch. Stamann blocks another shot, but Caraway pushes him to the fence this time. Caraway gets in a few good body shots as the clock winds down, zaps Stamann with an uppercut and pulls guard with a guillotine. Caraway rolls on top and tries to finish the choke from mount just as time expires.

Sherdog Scores

Zak Ottow vs. Mike Pyle

Round 1

The welterweights trade body kicks and range-finding jabs in the opening minute, but Ottow's attempt at a heavier combination bounces off Pyle's gloves. Pyle continues to backpedal and slide out of range of Ottow's blitzes. However, "Quicksand" stays standing in front of Ottow for a second too long and is made to pay with a crushing right hand. Pyle's legs give out, and Ottow wastes no time pouncing and pouring on follow-up punches. Referee Herb Dean gives Pyle ample time to recover, but Pyle is curling up on his side and eventually succumbs to Ottow's punches.

The Official Result

Zak Ottow def. Mike Pyle via TKO (Punches) R1 2:34

Hector Lombard vs. C.B. Dollaway

Round 1

Dollaway whiffs on his opening head kick, takes a leg kick in return from the heavy-handed southpaw. Lombard blocks a body kick and continues to chop at Dollaway's lead leg. Lombard crouches low and presses forward on Dollaway, slamming Dollaway with yet another heavy leg kick. Dollaway answers with another high kick that crashes into Lombard's forearms. Inside the final two minutes of what has been a tentative opening round, Lombard gets Dollaway's attention with a glancing left hook. A minute later, another left hand causes Dollaway to duck and dash away. Dollaway lands a body kick and gets swatted away with a pair of heavy hooks. Right at the horn, Dollaway lands another kick, then gets floored with a very late left-handed counter from Lombard, who shrugs as he walks away.

Dollaway is still dazed at the end of the one-minute break, repeatedly asking his corner what happened at the end of the round. Commission officials are consulting with referee Mark Smith as the cageside physician checks on Dollaway.

The Official Result

C.B. Dollaway def. Hector Lombard via DQ (Punching After the Bell) R1 5:00

John Dodson vs. Pedro Munhoz

Round 1

Dodson lines up southpaw and gets a kick across the midsection from the orthodox Munhoz in the opening moments. "The Magician" catches the next kick from Munhoz and chops at the back leg of the Brazilian before releasing the limb. Dodson rushes forward and comes over the top with a right hand that leaves Munhoz blinking. Dodson goes to the body with a left hand, slides out of the way of a Munhoz kick before taking one to the body. Yet again, Dodson catches a kick and blasts Munhoz with a left hand to the guts before releasing. Two minutes left in the opening frame, and Dodson continues to pick at Munhoz while dipping in and out of the pocket. Dodson catches another kick, pushes Munhoz to the ground and lets him back up. Munhoz continues to throw kicks, even though Dodson is catching nearly every one and firing back with hard left hands.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Dodson
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Dodson
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Dodson

Round 2

Dodson lands an inside leg kick and a clean left hand behind it as he continues to out-quick Munhoz in the opening minute of round two. Munhoz lands a body punch and eats a blasting left hand in return. Dodson is moving in and out of the pocket, landing at will and taking very little damage in return from the larger, slower Brazilian. Munhoz is finding some success with body shots, but Dodson is taking the strikes in order to counter with harder head shots. Dodson goes body-head now, peppering Munhoz with varied left hands. Munhoz catches Dodson near the fence and drives a knee into the body of the American, then a left hand that bloodies Dodson's nose. Dodson scores with a left uppercut to the body, eats a right-handed counter before he slides out of range. Munhoz keeps coming forward, constantly pressuring Dodson, who is doing well to evade by cutting angles around the outside. Dodson keeps catching kicks, too, and popping Munhoz with counters before giving back the leg. Munhoz lands a slapping head kick, then a right hand, and suddenly Munhoz seems to have Dodson on the retreat. Dodson leaps at Munhoz with a Superman punch in the final 10 seconds and gets an accidental kick to the groin just before the horn.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Munhoz
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Dodson
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Dodson

Round 3

Munhoz backs up Dodson with a wide right hand, and Dodson circles off the fence looking at referee Chris Tognoni. It looks like Dodson is complaining of another low blow from Munhoz, but he's OK to continue after 30 seconds in the corner. Action resumes with Dodson landing a hard, clean knee to the body, then a step-off left hand. Munhoz keeps pressing forward, lands a leg kick but takes a left to the body. Dodson continues to be evasive off his back foot, leaving Munhoz swinging at air and then coming back to triple up on left hands to the face of the "Young Punisher." Halfway through the final round, Munhoz walks into a left hook and is left standing in the corner as Dodson sprints away. Munhoz lands a clipping right hand but can't follow up before Dodson dashes to the other side of the cage. Dodson gets a knee to the body and is warned for raking the face of Munhoz with his outstretched hand. Munhoz latches on to a double-leg and takes down Dodson with 60 seconds on the clock. Munhoz is just clinging to Dodson's legs, trying to hold him down and secure top position as the final moments tick away. Referee Tognoni warns the fighters to stay busy, then warns Dodson for grabbing the fence. Munhoz lands a couple knees to the body before Dodson gets back to his feet. Dodson gets the final word with a flurry of punches that staggers Munhoz just before the final horn.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Dodson (29-28 Dodson)
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Munhoz (29-28 Munhoz)

Beneil Dariush vs. Alexander Hernandez

Round 1

Hernandez rushes straight across the cage, fakes a glove-touch and throws a front kick to Dariush's body. Dariush answers quickly with a strong left hook, but it's the UFC newcomer continuing to press the action in the opening minute. Dariush lands a low kick, then leans to his right as Hernandez drives forward throwing a powerful left hand. Dariush takes a forearm right on the temple and immediately drops to the ground in a heap. Referee Jason Herzog rushes in to save the unconscious Dariush from further damage as Hernandez jumps all over his downed opponent.

The Official Result

Alexander Hernandez def. Beneil Dariush via KO (Punch) R1 0:42

Mackenzie Dern vs. Ashley Yoder

Round 1

Dern throws a low kick and gets sparked with a pair of counters from Yoder, but the jiu-jitsu ace starts throwing hands right back. Dern uses the punches to close the distance, then clinches up with Yoder and shoves her against the fence. Working with a bodylock, Dern begins hunting for a trip takedown while Yoder balances on one leg, leaning up against a cage post. Yoder separates herself from Dern, and the strawweights are back to striking with 3:30 on the clock. Yoder lands a loud kick to the body, then eats a wild right hand from Dern, who soon closes the gap for another clinch on the fence. Dern releases, backs up and catches a kick, but she can't convert it into a takedown as Yoder once again does well to keep her balance. Dern throws out another wild bunch of punches to push Yoder against the wall, now changes levels for a double-leg takedown. Yoder tries to stand, and Dern moves to take the back, but Yoder scrapes her off with the help of the fence. Yoder lands a nice left hand that leaves Dern smiling as they hit the final 60 seconds of round one. Yoder plants another clean left hand on Dern as the round expires.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Dern
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Dern
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Dern

Round 2

Dern presses the action at the start of the second frame, landing a body kick before eating yet another Yoder left hand. This punch bloodies the mouth of Dern, who lands a wild overhand right as she steps into the pocket for another clinch. Dern shoves Yoder against a cage post with double underhooks; Yoder reverses to the outside and the pace slows until the 2:45 mark, when referee Tognoni splits up the strawweights. Dern rushes forward and runs into a short left hand from Yoder, and the BJJ wiz hits the deck for the first time in the fight. Dern springs back up, looking no worse for wear, but the UFC newcomer isn't as quick to blitz Yoder on the feet now. Yoder comes over the top with the left again, then again, landing it clean each time, often as a counter over the top of a Dern low kick. Dern lands a low kick but is immediately backed up by another Yoder left hand. Yoder shuts down Dern's final takedown attempt of the round in the last 10 seconds.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Yoder
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Yoder
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Yoder

Round 3

Dern bombs her way into range with an overhand right, then works a single-leg as she shoves Yoder against the fence. Switching to a bodylock, Dern hunts for a trip, but Yoder is doing well to keep her balance. Yoder breaks out of the clinch with a left hand to the jaw, now attacks the body of Dern with knees. Dern clasps her hands around Yoder's left leg but still can't complete the takedown. The 115ers move back to the center of the cage with half the round remaining. Dern touches Yoder with a straight left, an inside leg kick, then goes body-head with a pair of right hands. Dern changes levels and finally drives Yoder to the ground with 1:40 on the clock. Passing straight to Yoder's back, Dern sinks in one hook, then the second. Dern starts punching away, trying to soften up Yoder for a rear-naked choke. Yoder buries her chin and glues her hands to her head, but Dern nonetheless snakes her left arm around the throat of the Team Quest fighter. Yoder uses two-on-one defense to try and break up the choke, and she succeeds in peeling away Dern's hands. Dern is still hunting for the choke as the final 10 seconds tick away.

Cat Zingano vs. Ketlen Vieira

Round 1

Zingano lands an outside leg kick and reaches out with a long right hand, but Vieira is waiting with a quicker counter right hand that lights up the American in the opening seconds. Zingano tries to clinch and is denied by Vieira, who quickly disengages and circles to her right. Switching stances, Zingano gets blasted with a right hand as she stands southpaw, then goes back to orthodox. Zingano looks to clinch again but can't keep hold of Vieira as they fight on the fence. Now it's Vieira pressing forward, backing up Zingano to the wall. Zingano reverses momentum for a trip takedown -- but Vieira barely hits the ground before she jumps back to her feet. Zingano is finding success with some body kicks, but her right hands are wild and flailing, easily dodged and countered by the speedier, more technical Brazilian. The bantamweights clinch up with 1:45 on the clock, and Zingano stings Vieira with a sharp knee to the midsection. Vieira hits a trip takedown, landing in Zingano's butterfly guard and rapidly advancing to mount. Zingano pushes her back to half guard, but Vieira can still land right hands from this position. Vieira goes for a mounted crucifix but can't secure it before the end of the round.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Vieira
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Vieira
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Vieira

Round 2

Zingano touches Vieira with a lunging left hand, then tries to clinch up in the center of the cage. Vieira, however, takes the opportunity to toss Zingano over her hip, sending "Alpha Cat" crashing to the mat in the middle of the Octagon. Vieira moves straight to full mount, where she begins framing up an arm-triangle choke, squeezing Zingano's head and left arm. Zingano bucks and explodes out of the dangerous position, so Vieira stands and tries to advance again. Vieira winds up coming down to Zingano's half-butterfly guard, once again wrapping up the American's head and left arm. Zingano tries a kimura from the bottom, can't get it but manages to stall Vieira's advances on top. Vieira stands with 1:35 on the clock, now comes down to Zingano's butterfly guard. Zingano is shifting on the bottom, trying to secure Vieira's left arm for another kimura try, but Vieira has the arm buried. Vieira pulls out the left arm with 20 seconds left and socks Zingano in the face.

Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Vieira
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Vieira

Round 3

Zingano lands her first strike of the round, a slapping left high kick to the face, then tries to tack on some follow-up punches. Zingano throws an inside leg kick, it gets checked, and the BJJ stylist comes up limping on her left foot. Vieira immediately recognizes that her opponent is injured and takes Zingano straight to the ground at the base of the fence. Vieira stands, dodges upkicks from Zingano and then comes down to half guard on Zingano's right side. Vieira flattens out Zingano with chest-to-chest top control, once again coming close to an arm-triangle choke. Referee Jason Herzog calls for work, so Vieira stands again and kicks at the prone Zingano's legs. Vieira kneels down in Zingano's guard and feeds the American short left hands as they hit the halfway point of the final round. Thirty seconds later, Zingano picks the ankle of Vieira and trips the Brazilian to her knees. Zingano tries to capitalize on the mistake, but Vieira recovers quickly and takes outside position in a clinch on the fence. Zingano lands a few knees to the body in the clinch but can't escape the heavy pressure of Vieira, who takes a look up at the clock with 70 seconds remaining. Referee Herzog restarts the bantamweights in the center with 40 seconds left to fight. Vieira is looking slow and tired as Zingano throws wild arm punches in her direction. Vieira clinches and copes with Zingano's last-gasp offense to send this one to the judges.

Andrei Arlovski vs. Stefan Struve

Round 1

The heavyweights exchange inside leg kicks, then Struve tries to go upstairs with a right high kick that Arlovski gets a glove up to block. Arlovski continues to work the inside of Struve's lead leg, while the Dutchman tests the range with punches, leaning and feinting. After a few more leg kicks, Arlovski comes over the top with a stinging right hand, then clinches and trips Struve to the floor near the fence. Arlovski lands in half guard on Struve's right side, but he's forced to stand when the lanky "Skyscraper" threatens to throw up a triangle. Referee Herb Dean gets between the fighters, who meet back in the center with 2:30 on the clock. Struve backs up Arlovski to the fence and tries to take off the Belarusian's head with a series of right hands. Arlovski shows good footwork and head movement, stepping off to the side and then tripping Struve to the mat again. Arlovski stands over the prone Struve with 90 seconds remaining; the ref steps between the big men again, and they're back to striking with 65 seconds to go. The heavyweights tangle on the fence again, Arlovski on the outside, an impatient referee Dean calling for work. Arlovski trips Struve to the ground once again just before the horn.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Arlovski
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 Arlovski
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Arlovski

Round 2

Arlovski fends off the incoming Struve with some wide right hands, then chops at the lead leg of the "Skyscraper" with another hard inside kick. Arlovski trips Struve to the floor once again, but this time Struve immediately begins working for a leglock. Struve throws on an inverted heel hook and leans back, but he can't get the angle to coax a tap. Arlovski is still trying to extract his leg when Struve sits up and takes top position. Arlovski is seated against the fence with the massive Struve draped all over him. Arlovski rolls to his knees, eats a few left hands, but manages to power back to his feet. Struve lifts up Arlovski with a standing rear waistlock, but can't slam him to the ground. Arlovski spins around to take the outside position in the clinch, shoving Struve against the wall. There's not enough action in the clinch for referee Dean, who restarts the heavyweights in the center with 45 seconds left. Struve catches Arlovski in the right eye with his outstretched hand, and the former UFC champ needs a minute to recover. The ref gives Struve a "hard warning" for the infraction, and the rest of the round ticks away without incident.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 Struve
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-10
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 Struve

Round 3

Struve presses forward as the final round begins, trying to back up Arlovski to the fence with front kicks. Struve throws a kick to the body, comes across the middle with a right hand, then backpedals as Arlovski fires off a wild combination of his own. Arlovski catches Struve stepping inside and sweeps him out with an uppercut. Halfway through the round, Arlovski pushes Struve to the wall for a clinch. They separate shortly after, and Struve comes away from the clinch holding his left eye. Struve needs a minute to recover from the accidental foul; referee Dean wants the doctor to check on the Dutchman's vision. Struve is cleared to continue and comes back slinging leg kicks at Arlovski, who wants to tie up in the middle of the cage. Arlovski hits a big trip at the fence, putting Struve on his posterior at the foot of the fence. Referee Dean calls for work as the final minute ticks down. Struve posts and stands before Arlovski can do much with top position. Struve is swinging wildly in the final 10 seconds, but Arlovski nullifies the attack with one final clinch.

Sean O'Malley vs. Andre Soukhamthath

Round 1

O'Malley takes the center of the cage and switches stances in front of Soukhamthath as the Rhode Island native cuts angles around the outside. "Sugar" lands an inside leg kick that leaves Soukhamthath limping, though the limp seems to have gone away a minute later. O'Malley goes orthodox and feints stepping inside, threatening to throw a long knee at his opponent's body. Soukhamthath is biting hard on feints from the prospect, and now he has his lead leg chopped out from under him by an O'Malley low kick. O'Malley fires a right high kick that lands under Soukhamthath's left arm with a loud thwack. O'Malley throws a kick with the left leg now and grazes Soukhamthath's midsection. Soukhamthath eats the next left kick from O'Malley, but "The Asian Sensation" does well to hide any damage. O'Malley is still stalking with 60 seconds on the clock, slamming a left kick into Soukhamthath's ribs. A right hand to the temple buckles the legs of Soukhamthath, but he jumps back up and seems to recover in record time. O'Malley tries to polish off his wounded foe with spinning kicks, but Soukhamthath will survive to see round two.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-8 O'Malley
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-8 O'Malley
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-8 O'Malley

Round 2

Soukhamthath comes out with guns blazing, firing at O'Malley with both hands and backing up the flashy young prospect to the fence. O'Malley circles back to the center and reestablishes his range, popping Soukhamthath with a left high kick through the glove. Soukhamthath catches a body kick, can't make anything of it. O'Malley, working from southpaw, flashes long jabs in the face of Soukhamthath before blasting down the middle with a hard, straight left. Soukhamthath hits a quick takedown with 3:15 on the clock and immediately finds himself in deep trouble. O'Malley throws up a triangle choke, trapping Soukhamthath's head and left arm, but he can't quite cinch the submission. Soukhamthath unwittingly turns into the choke, allowing O'Malley to lock his left ankle under his right knee. O'Malley switches to an armbar, but Soukhamthath stands up and pulls free. Suddenly, it's Soukhamthath on top with two minutes left, having escaped two dangerous submission attempts. O'Malley sits up against the fence and catches Soukhamthath in a no-arm guillotine, then rolls him over. Soukhamthath pulls his head free and stays on his knees as O'Malley stands up and kicks him in the body. Soukhamthath complains to referee Mark Smith, but the strike appeared perfectly legal. O'Malley jumps on the kneeling Soukhamthath's back and goes for a last-second rear-naked choke, but time runs out.

Sherdog Scores

Tristen Critchfield scores the round 10-9 O'Malley
Brian Knapp scores the round 10-9 O'Malley
Chris Nelson scores the round 10-9 O'Malley

Round 3

Soukhamthath quickly closes the distance on O'Malley and jams the youngster against the fence with a bodylock, looking for an early trip takedown. O'Malley keeps his balance and limp-legs away from Soukhamthath's subsequent single-leg attempt. O'Malley fires long left hands from southpaw, switches to orthodox and then back again to resume his jabbing. Soukhamthath is looking tired as he takes a stomping kick to the breadbasket, then a right hand to the chin. O'Malley lands awkwardly after throwing a right high kick, and Soukhamthath makes matters worse by buckling the knee with a leg kick. Soukhamthath hits a fast takedown and stands over O'Malley with three minutes left to fight. Referee Smith calls for work from Soukhamthath on top; the Rhode Island fighter obliges by posturing up and then passing to side control. Soukhamthath catches O'Malley sitting up and looks for a guillotine, but he can't find the choke. O'Malley posts and stands, barely putting any weight on his right leg. Soukhamthath lands another takedown, allowing O'Malley to stay in the fight. O'Malley climbs back to his feet and drops Soukhamthath with a spinning elbow. Soukhamthath gets right back on his feet and takes the barely mobile O'Malley to the ground again, much to the frustration of the blue corner. Soukhamthath keeps O'Malley on the mat for the final 30 seconds, and this one will go to the judges.

Frankie Edgar vs. Brian Ortega

Round 1

Edgar takes the center of the cage and immediately begins applying pressure to Ortega, who's kept on his back foot near the fence as Edgar double- and triple-flicks jabs in his direction. Edgar sprinkles in a few leg kicks, then comes over the top with a right hand that bounces off Ortega's temple. Edgar eats a short left hook from Ortega in order to land the right hand again. Now it's Ortega stepping forward, keeping his guard high as Edgar bounces a few punches off his gloves. Edgar flashes a three-piece combo in Ortega's face and then slides out of range before "T-City" can land his counter. Ortega lands a leaping kick to Edgar's chest, gets socked with another Edgar right hand. Edgar catches a kick from Ortega and threatens a takedown, but Ortega counters with a headlock that has "The Answer" releasing the leg in a hurry. Ortega lands an uppercut to the body and stuffs an Edgar shot in one motion. Edgar throws a left hook and gets blown up with a counter left elbow on the other side. The New Jersey native tries to clinch with Ortega, who dirty-boxes inside and rocks Edgar's head from side to side. Ortega leans back and loads up on a massive right uppercut that lifts Edgar off the ground and knocks him senseless. Referee Jason Herzog dives in between the fighters as Brian Ortega strolls off, the first man to ever knock out Frankie Edgar.

The Official Result

Brian Ortega def. Frankie Edgar via KO (Punches) R1 4:44

UFC Women's Featherweight Title Fight:
Cris Cyborg vs. Yana Kunitskaya

Round 1

Veteran referee Herb Dean will oversee tonight's 145-pound main event, with judges Sal D'Amato, Junichiro Kamijo and Chris Lee scoring the bout at cageside. Cyborg stuns Kunitskaya with her first right hand of the fight, a whipping shot that catches the Russian square on the face. Incredibly, after dropping to her knees, Kunitskaya is able to drive forward and take Cyborg to the ground with her. Cyborg rolls to her knees and tries to crawl away, but Kunitskaya jumps on her back and stays there as the champion climbs back to her feet. Cyborg scrapes Kunitskaya off her back with the help of the fence, but Kunitskaya keeps the Brazilian pressed against the fence with a tight bodylock. Both fighters land knees to the body before Kunitskaya drops to try a single-leg takedown. Cyborg keeps her balance and widens her base at the fence as they hit the midway point of round one. Cyborg breaks loose with a hard knee to the gut, another right hand to the face. Cyborg marches across the cage and floors Kunitskaya with another big right hand. Kunitskaya climbs back to her feet and dashes to the other side of the cage. It's only a matter of moments before Cyborg catches up to her and sends her crashing to the canvas again. This time, Kunitskaya is stuck underneath Cyborg, who is unloading with a nonstop barrage of right-handed hammerfists. Referee Dean tells Kunitskaya to fight back, but the Russian has nowhere to go, and this one is all over. After a brief scare in the grappling department, Cris Cyborg puts away Yana Kunitskaya with a first-round technical knockout to defend the UFC women's featherweight title.

The Official Result

Cris Cyborg def. Yana Kunitskaya via TKO (Punches) R1 3:25
