UFC Fight Night 130 is set for May 27 at Liverpool’s Echo Arena. It is reportedly going to be headlined by a welterweight showdown between local undefeated Scouser Darren Till and two-time UFC title challenger “Wonderboy” Stephen Thompson.
Mazany, 29, competed on “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 18, but dropped her opening round contest via two-round unanimous decision to eventual winner Julianna Pena. After three years away from the sport, Mazany punched out Katie Halley under the Alaska Fighting Championship banner in May 2016 before jumping back into the UFC on short notice for an injured Liz Carmouche, but was choked out in just 74 seconds against Olympic silver medalist Sara McMann. The Las Vegas-based Alaskan got back into the win column at UFC Fight Night 122 in Shanghai last November, earning a unanimous verdict over Yanan Wu.
The 36-year-old Lansberg made her Octagon debut under inhospitable circumstances, taking a battering from now-UFC women’s featherweight champion “Cyborg” Cristiane Justino in a 140-pound catchweight in Brazil in September 2016. “The Elbow Princess” got back on track by winning a raucous brawl with Lucie Pudilova, but was stopped in her last outing at UFC Fight Night 118 in Gdansk, Poland, succumbing to undefeated Aspen Ladd’s ground-and-pound in the second stanza this past October.
