UFC Fight Night 145 ‘Blachowicz vs. Santos’ Play-by-Play, Results & Round Scoring

The Octagon will touch down in the Czech Republic for the first time in Ultimate Fighting Championship history when UFC Fight Night 145 takes place. The main event will feature a battle of two top-10 light heavyweights in which Jan Blachowicz takes on knockout artist, Thiago Santos.

The prelims start at 11 a.m. ET (8 a.m. PT) while the six-fight main card kicks off at 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT). The entire card will be shown on ESPN+, and for Canadians the entire card will be exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.

Damir Ismagulov vs. Joel Alvarez

Round 1

First up is a lightweight bout between Damir Ismagulov and Joel Alvarez. The referee for the first bout of the night is Jakub Muller. Ismagulov leads with a jab to the body then lands a chopping low kick. Another nice jab to the body with Ismagulov and then he nearly lands a right hook. Big straight right lands by Ismagulov to the chin of Alvarez. Another jab by Ismagulov, and then another low kick. Another big straight right hand lands on the chin of Alvarez, who is a stationary target at the moment. Right cross to the body by Ismagulov. Impressive body work by him so far. Ismagulov flails on a spinning back kick. Finally Alvarez lands a strike, a low kick. Another jab to the body by Ismagulov and a counter straight right. Low kick by Ismagulov. Alvarez lands a jab. Ismagulov lands a straight right and then nearly takes off Alvarez’ head with a wild left hook. Big uppercut by Ismagulov lands. Another low kick and then a straight right. Alvarez lands a knee to the body and then a low kick of his own. Ismagulov with another straight right. Jab to the body by Ismagulov and he lands a big left hook. Another jab by Ismagulov. He just misses landing a front kick. Another straight right by Ismagulov. Alvarez returns with a low kick. Jab to the body by Ismagulov. He just misses another right straight and the round ends.

Round 2

Round two begins. Ismagulov just misses landing a big straight right as Alvarez just moves his head away. Another jab and straight right combo by Ismagulov. He connects on a huge overhand right to the chin but somehow Alvarez doesn’t get rocked from it. Jab to the body by Ismagulov. Jab to the head this time by Ismagulov. He just misses landing another overhand right. Another jab by Ismagulov and then a brutal left body kick. He just misses landing a right cross. Low kick lands by Alvarez but Ismagulov catches it and then lets Alvarez go. Another overhand right by Ismagulov. Another jab by Ismagulov, a low kick returned by Alvarez, and the round is over. This fight has been a blowout through two rounds.

Round three begins and they touch gloves. Ismagulov continues to lead off the jab. He misses landing a right uppercut. Round 1

Next up is another lightweight bout, this time between Carlos Diego Ferreira and Rustam Khabilov. Technically it’s a catchweight bout as Ferreira came in at 157lbs. The referee for this contest is Neil Hall. They touch gloves. Ferreira lands a 1-2 combo. Low kick by Ferreira. Khabilov with a right hook as Ferreira gets inside. Left hook by Khabilov. Ferreira is walking forward and Khabilov is circling and moving away from the strikes. Low kick by Khabilov. He just misses a counter straight right. Double jab and a right straight by Ferreira. He just misses landing a right high kick. Ferreira lands an overhand right. He gets Khabilov backing up against the fence and lands another one. Khabilov shoots in for a double leg and gets it. Ferreira gets back up but Khabilov lands a suplex. Ferreira is able to get back up once again. Ferreira is marching Khabilov down with that double jab and straight right combination but isn’t landing. He finally lands a hard straight right as Khabilov is against the fence. Khabilov circles away. Low kick by Ferreira and a straight right to the body. Overhand right by Ferreira. Khabilov drops down for a single-leg takedown and nearly gets it but Ferreira sweeps him. Ferreira now has Khabilov in the crucifix position. He’s now in position for a twister if he wants it. He goes for a modified rear-naked choke instead but the round is now over.

Round 2

Round two begins and they touch gloves. Once again Ferreira is taking the center of the Octagon while Khabilov is circling away. Low kick by Ferreira. Khabilov with a counter straight right. Nice left hook by Khabilov lands, maybe his best strike of the night. Khabilov flails on an overhand right. Ferreira continues to work off the jab but Khabilov lands a counter right hook and moves away. Khabilov lands a left high kick that is partially blocked by Ferreira, who continues to march Khabilov down. No one is really landing anything at this point. Khabilov drops levels and goes for a double leg but transitions to and lands a body lock takedown. Ferreira quickly scrambles to his feet. Ferreira keeps moving forward. Double jab, right hand lands by Ferreira, who follows it up with a low kick. Right hook to the body by Ferreira. Khabilov drops down for a single leg takedown but Ferreira defends it nicely. Khabilov drops down for a double leg this time and gets it, but Ferreira gets back up. Ferreira moves forward and lands an overhand right. Low kick by Ferreira and he nearly lands a left hook but the round is now over.

Round 3

Round three begins and they come out swinging. Ferreira throws a low kick that Khabilov catches and he throws a counter right hand at him. Ferreira with a double jab and a right hand behind it. Left hook by Khabilov but a straight right hand by Ferreira is returned. Khabilov is just backing away while Ferreira continues to walk forward, and that looks nice to the judges. Ferreira with a double jab and a straight right behind it. Low kick by Ferreira now. Khabilov nearly lands a counter right hook. Front kick by Ferreira and he just misses a right high kick as Khabilov moves away from it. Ferreira with a low kick and then nearly lands a straight right. Khabilov drops down for a single leg and is working for it against the fence. He’s working hard for the takedown but Ferreira shakes him. Ferreira continues to march forward and Khabilov drops down once again for a double leg but Ferreira stuffs it. Khabilov goes for another power double and this time he gets it but Ferreira immediately gets back up. 10 seconds left and Ferreira lands a right high kick and has Khabilov hurt but the fight is over.

Round 1

It’s now time for a welterweight bout between Michel Prazeres and Ismail Naurdiev. The official for this contest is Marc Goddard. They touch gloves. Naurdiev lands a low kick but Prazares catches it. He has Naurdiev against the fence now and is working to get this fight to the ground. Prazeres looks to get the body lock takedown but Naurdiev uses the whizzer to stuff it. Prazeres nearly lands a double leg but Naurdiev stuffs that too. They exchange low kicks. Prazeres rushes in for a double leg takedown but Naudiev is doing a good job defending. Prazeres is grinding Naurdiev against the fence but breaks away. Low kick by Naurdiev. Another one, and then a high kick. Naurdiev lands a straight right that rocks Prazeres but he ducks under for a double leg takedown in desperation. Prazeres works Naurdiev against the fence and gets the double leg takedown. He’s now on top in half guard but Naurdiev lands an incredible sweep and is now on top himself. Naurdiev is on top landing nasty elbows to the head of Prazeres. Naurdiev moves into full mount and then takes the back of Prazeres. He’s working for a rear-naked choke but Prazeres escapes and sweeps him. Prazeres is now pushing Naurdiev against the fence grinding him. Naurdiev is doing a good job of defending against the takedown here and the round is soon over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Low kick by Naurdiev and then a left high kick. Naurdiev goes for a low kick that Prazeres catches but he can’t get the takedown from it. Nice jab by Naurdiev and then a low kick. Another left high kick by Naurdiev. Prazeres swings and misses wildly on a left hook. Naurdiev keeps throwing those low kicks at Prazeres. Naurdiev misses a jumping front kick and Prazeres uses this as an opportunity to get inside and push him against the fence. Prazeres tries for the body lock takedown but Naurdiev sweeps him, but Prazeres gets back up. Prazeres continues to work hard and gets the double leg takedown. Prazeres is now on top working in half guard but Naurdiev once again sweeps him. Beautiful work on the ground here by Naurdiev, but the referee says he isn’t doing enough damage and stands the fight up. Naurdiev looks to land a flying knee but Prazeres ducks under and is pushing Naurdiev against the fence again. The referee breaks up the stalemate. Naudiev lands a counter straight right and then a low kick. He goes for another straight right but Prazeres drops down for a double leg. Naurdiev stuffs it and the round is over.

Round 3

Round three begins and the fighters hug and give each other a high five. Prazeres lands a nasty right hook. Naurdiev with two body kicks and then two low kicks. Prazeres uses the kicks to get inside and he has Naurdiev against the fence now. The referee is warning the fighters to work. They don’t and he breaks it up. Prazeres with a wild left hook but Naurdiev moves away. Another low kick by Naurdiev, and another. Prazeres ducks under and goes for a single leg takedown and eventually gets it. Prazeres is on top in half guard in arguably the best position he’s had all fight long. Prazeres looks to get mount but Naurdiev sweeps him. He’s now working for a guillotine choke but uses it to stand up. Naurdiev lands a knee as Prazeres stands up and Prazeres is badly rocked. Prazeres with a desperation body lock takedown but he can’t get it and Naurdiev winds up on top. Naurdiev is pounding on Prazeres here and eventually turns him over. Naurdiev is on top of Prazeres dropping nasty elbows. Prazeres looks to be badly hurt. Naurdiev is raining down ground and pound from back control but Prazeres is able to turn over. Now Naurdiev is in half guard landing nasty elbows from the top. He continues to land hard elbows and punches until the round and fight are over.

Damir Hadzovic vs. Marco Polo Reyes

Round 1

We now have a lightweight bout between Marco Polo Reyes and Damir Hadzovic. The third man in the cage is Leon Roberts. Both men rush into the center of the Octagon. Reyes with a low kick and Hadzovic returns one of his own. Another low kick by Hadzovic. Reyes returns with a straight right. Left hook by Hadzovic and he circles. Reyes lands a nice low kick. Reyes moves in with a 1-2 but Hadzovic circles. Hadzovic lands a left hook that briefly rocks Reyes. Nice jab by Reyes to the body. Reyes with a left hook and hen a chopping right low kick. Reyes lands another left hook, and now he lands a right straight and then a left hook behind it. Reyes connects on a hard left hook to the body. Reyes with a left hook to the head and then a left and right hook to the body. Hadzovic closes the distance and is now working Reyes against the fence. He lands a left hook on the break but Reyes gets away. They are now in the center of the octagon and both men are swinging wildly. Hadzovic changes levels and lands a double leg takedown. Very nicely-timed takedown there. He’s on top of Reyes grinding him against the side of the fence and is looking to take the back, but Reyes is doing an excellent job of defending. Hadozvic grabs hold of the body of Reyes and get a final takedown before the round ends.

Round 2

Round two begins. Reyes with a nice body kick on Hadzovic. He lands another left hook but Hadzovic uses it as an opportunity to get inside. Hadzovic drops down and gets a body lock takedown. Hadzovic is now on top of Reyes in full mount. He’s landing massive punches from the top now. Reyes gives up his back and Hadzovic is in a tremendous position here to finish the fight. Reyes rolls over but he's still in a bad spot. Hadzovic has Reyes’ arm trapped and he continues to land huge punches to the side of Reyes’ head, who cannot defend. The referee is warning Reyes to fight back but Hadzovic continues to pour on the punishment and Leon Roberts stops the fight due to TKO.

Veronica Macedo vs. Gillian Robertson

Round 1

It’s a women’s flyweight bout now between Gillian Robertson and Veronica Macedo. The referee is Jakub Muller. The southpaw Macedo with a straight left right off the bat. Robertson moves forward and gets inside, pushing Macedo against the fence. Macedo is looking for a double leg takedown but Macedo sweeps her and gets on top. Robertson is clinging to a single leg but Macedo is punching her in the head. Robertson is able to complete the single leg and is now on top of Macedo working in half guard. Macedo moves into full mount. Macedo is able to sweep Robertson and is now on top. Macedo is landing some nasty punches and elbows from the top but Robertson grabs a single leg and uses it to get back on top herself. Macedo continues to land elbows but the referee warns her for 12-6 elbows. Robertson is able to go get the back. Macedo is able to once again sweep Robertson and is now on top. They break and finally the fight is back on the feet after some very nice ground work. Macedo with a kick to the body. Macedo nearly lands a step-in upward elbow. Robertson drops down for a single leg and transitions to a double and gets the takedown. Robertson is on top of Macedo against the fence but Macedo is able to scramble her way back into her guard. Robertson is on top holding the legs of Macedo while Macedo throws back strikes but the round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Macedo lands a side kick and then a solid straight right. Macedo is able to get a body lock takedown and is now on top of Robertson, who manages to scramble and get back to the feet. Macedo looks to land a body kick but Robertson catches it and uses it to take Macedo down. Robertson is on top in half guard and Macedo is working for a guillotine choke. Robertson gets out of the choke. Macedo is able to sweep and get back on top but Robertson has an armbar submission in position. Macedo is defending against it and gets out of it but Robertson uses it to sweep her and get on top. Now Robertson is in full mount and trying to smother Macedo. Robertson is in high mount now and in a scramble is able to take the back of Macedo. Robertson has a rear-naked choke locked in and it’s tight. Macedo is forced to tap out and the fight is over.

Daniel Teymur vs. Chris Fishgold

Round 1

Featherweights Daniel Teymur and Chris Fishgold are next into the cage. The referee in charge of this bout is Herb Dean. They touch gloves. Fishgold immediately shoots for a single leg takedown. Teymur is defending it well but Fishgold almost completes it and Teymur grabs the cage. Herb Dean immediately takes away one point from Teymur. The fighters are put back into the same position. Fishgold is able to get a single leg takedown, Teymur gets back up briefly, and then Fishgold lands the double leg takedown. He’s grinding on Teymur against the cage but Teymur sweeps him during a guillotine choke attempt and gets on top. Teymur drops back for an ankle lock and Fishgold uses it as an opportunity to get back up. They are now back in the center of the Octagon. Teymur lands a big left hook. Fishgold ducks under and gets the double leg takedown on Teymur. Fishgold stands up and in a scrambles gets the back of Teymur, who is able to shake him off. Teymur is now on top working in side control and landing some big punches from the top. Fishgold is finally able to get back up. He gets back inside and has Teymur against the fence. Fishgold lands a hard straight right and then a right hook on Teymur’s chin. Teymur goes for a spinning back elbow but Fishgold ducks down and gets a double leg takedown. Fishgold is able to take the back of Teymur in a scramble. He switches to full mount and is landing some hard punches and elbows from the top. In a transition Fishgold locks in an armbar but Teymur is able to survive it. Fishgold switches to back control and the round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Teymur lands a body kick off the bat. Teymur tries to land a straight right but Fishgold uses it as an opportunity to level change and get the double leg takedown. Fishgold is now on top of Teymur in half guard and he switches to mount and then back control. Fishgold flattens Teymur out and locks in a very tight rear-naked choke. Teymur can no longer breathe and is forced to tap out due to submission.

Dwight Grant vs. Carlo Pedersoli Jr.

Round 1

The final preliminary bout is a welterweight matchup between Carlo Pedersoli Jr. and Dwight Grant. The referee in charge of this one is Marc Goddard. They touch gloves. Pedersoli with a high kick that is blocked by Grant. Grant looks to land a left hook but Pedersoli ducks under for a double leg. Grant stuffs it. Pedersoli nearly lands a massive left hook but Grant is able to move way at just the right time. Pedersoli shoots in for a single leg but Grant stuffs it. Hard body kick lands by Pedersoli but Grant counters with a low kick. Pedersoli lands a right straight and then a left hook. He grabs the plum on Grant and lands a knee before Grant breaks away. The southpaw Pedersoli just misses landing a huge overhand left. Another body kick lands by Pedersoli. He nearly lands a left high kick but lands another body kick for good measure. Grant with a jab and then misses with a right hook. Pedersoli lands another body kick and begins to call Grant in. Pedersoli shoots for a single but Grant stuffs it. Pedersoli sweeps him and in a scramble takes the back of Grant, who is able to get back to his feet. Grant nearly lands a straight right on the break. Pedersoli lands an overhand left. He shoots for another double leg but Grant stuffs it. Pedersoli lands a knee in the clinch. Grant with a straight right. Pedersoli lands another body kick. The 10-second clapper rings. Pedersoli tries to land a left high kick but Grant ducks under it and lands a massive overhand right on the chin of Pedersoli. The Italian’s mouthpiece goes flying and he’s down on the mat and Grant is pounding him in the head. Goddard rushes in to stop the fight and he calls it just before the final buzzer rings. Wow, what a finish. Pedersoli was well on his way to winning the round but he got caught. As the old adage goes, these things happen in MMA.

Magomed Ankalaev vs. Klidson Farias de Abreu

Round 1

It’s time for the main card to start and the first fight is a light heavyweight matchup between Magomed Ankalaev and Klidson Farias de Abreu. Technically it’s a catchweight bout at 209lbs as Abreu missed weight. The third man in the Octagon is Leon Roberts. Abreu misses with a low kick and Ankalaev lands an uppercut. Low kick by Ankalaev is checked by Abreu. Abreu throws a right hook to get inside and clinches up with Ankalaev. They are in the clinch against the fence now landing short knees on each other. Leon Roberts warns them to work and they break. Abreu lands a right hook on Ankalaev and it briefly wobbles him but he recovers quickly. Abreu rushes in to throw a straight right but misses and Ankalaev lands a short right uppercut that briefly drops Abreu. He gets back up quickly. Abreu lands a low kick and then pulls guard when Ankalaev gets close. Ankalaev is on top of him in half guard. Abreu is just holding on for dear life while Ankalaev is on top landing short punches and elbows. The nose of Abreu appears to be broken and his face is a bloody mess. Ankalaev is in half guard and throwing some nasty elbows. There’s blood everywhere now and the first round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Abreu lands a left high kick that clips Ankalaev, but he doesn’t appear to be rocked. Low kick by Abreu lands. Abreu rushes in and once again Ankalaev hits him with that short right uppercut. Abreu lands a big left hook and an overhand right but Ankalaev’s chin continues to hold up nicely. Ankalaev throws a right high kick but Abreu moves away. Body kick by Ankalaev lands. Jab to the body by Abreu, who is starting to look tired. Another right uppercut by Ankalaev lands, and now he lands a jab. Abreu ducks under for a double leg takedown but Ankalaev stuffs it. Abreu has Ankalaev up against the cage and is working for a takedown but Ankalaev reverses him. Abreu looks to land an outside trip takedown in the clinch but Ankalaev sweeps him and lands on top. Ankalaev is in half guard with a minute left and is starting to land some ground and pound from top position. Abreu manages to tie Ankalaev up in his full guard but there’s not enough time left in the round and it’s over.

Round 3

Third and final round and Abreu needs a finish. Ankalaev just misses landing another right uppercut as Abreu moves inside. Abreu looks to land a flying knee but Abreu catches his leg and lands a counter straight right that briefly drops him but Abreu manages to get back up. Ankalaev continues to stand firm in the center of the Octagon and he’s able to move away from any strikes Abreu throws at him. It would be nice to see Ankalaev pour on the pressure here but it looks like he is playing it safe with two rounds in the bag already. Ankalaev clinches up with Abreu and pushes him against the fence. The referee warns them to work. With about 30 seconds left in the fight the referee breaks the fighters. Ankalaev lands another straight right hand. Abreu flails on a badly telegraphed level change. Ankalaev grabs Abreu, clinches him against the fence again, and the fight is over.

John Dodson vs. Petr Yan

Round 1

It’s time for one of the most-anticipated bouts on the card, a bantamweight battle between rising prospect Petr Yan and veteran contender John Dodson. The referee is Neil Hall. Dodson rushes in and clips Yan with a straight right and Yan briefly falls to the mat. He likely lost his balance there. Dodson once again tries to land a straight right but Yan moves away. Dodson rushes in and lands some punches to the body but Yan breaks free. Yan with a straight right to the body. Low kick by Yan. The Russian goes to land a kick to the body but Dodson catches it and throws him to the mat. Dodson says Yan hit him low but the referee didn’t see it. Yan with a huge straight right to Dodson against the fence. Then a left hook, and then another right hook. He throws a body kick but Dodson catches it and briefly gets a takedown. Yan gets back up. He continues to stalk Dodson and lands an overhand right on him against the fence. Dodson clinches Yan and is looking to get a body lock takedown. Yan is able to break free and land a left hook on the break. Yan with a combination of punches on Dodson against the fence. Yan with another kick to the body. Dodson lands a straight right and circles away. Yan continues to stalk him and returns fire with another straight right. Yan grabs hold of Dodson against the fence and lands a nice knee to the body. He lands another straight right on the break. 10 seconds left now and Dodson lands a right hook before the end of the round.

Round 2

Round two begins. They swing wildly and exchange hooks in the center of the Octagon. They are now against the fence and Dodson lands a superman punch. Yan lands a straight right but Dodson grabs a single leg in desperation, and Yan defends the takedown. Yan goes to land a kick to the body but Dodson catches it and lets go. Dodson rushes in with a couple hooks to Yan’s body and then moves away. Yan goes to land another straight right but Dodson circles away. Nice low kick lands by Dodson. He clips Yan with a right hook and drops him. Dodson follows him to the mat but Yan recovers quickly and gets back up. Dodson lands a step-in knee that Yan blocks. Yan lands a left hook and then a kick to the body on Dodson, who has his back against the cage. Another kick to the body by Yan and then another straight right. Yan with a right hook to the body. Another straight right by Yan lands. He clinches up with Dodson and lands some knees. Dodson lands a counter overhand right. Yan lands a huge straight right against Dodson up against the fence but Dodson manages to clinch up. The 10 second clapper sounds and Yan lands a nasty knee on Dodson right before the end of the round.

Round 3

The third and final round begins and it could be anyone’s fight at this point. Yan is continuing to stalk Dodson and get him backed up against the fence. Dodson lands a low kick. Yan lands a right straight that nearly drops Dodson but he manages to stay upright. Dodson tries to level change and get a double leg takedown but Yan stuffs it. Yan with a left hook and a straight right behind it. Hard straight right by Yan lands right on the jaw. Yan goes in for a flying knee but Dodson ducks under and is able to get a single leg takedown but Yan gets up quickly. The referee warns Yan for a shot to the back of the head of Dodson, who looks exhausted. Yan lands a straight right down the pipe and Dodson ducks down for a double leg takedown. Yan stuffs it and gets back control on Dodson. Yan tries to gets a suplex on Dodson, who grabs the fence to a chorus of boos from the crowd. The referee should have taken a point for that but didn’t. Yan continues to march Dodson down. He lands a left hook and Dodson ducks under for a single leg but can’t get it, and Yan gets a body lock takedown of his own. Yan is now on top of Dodson on the ground landing a number of heavy punches and the round is over.

Liz Carmouche vs. Lucie Pudilova

Round 1

We now have a women’s flyweight bout between Liz Carmouche and the Czech Republic’s own Lucie Pudilova. The referee is Herb Dean. The fight begins and the crowd is not surprisingly very loud for the hometown fighter. Carmouche with a low kick. Carmouche clinches up with Pudilova and has her against the fence. Carmouche continues to wear down and grind on Pudilova but she isn’t doing much damage. Carmouche with the foot stomp. She drops down for a single leg but Pudilova is defending well. Carmouche is finally able to get the takedown. The mat is bloody but it’s hard to see where it’s coming from. On replay it appears to be coming from the ear of Carmouche. Pudilova is working on a ninja choke but Carmouche gets out of it. Carmouche continues to grind on Pudilova and the round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Pudilova takes the center of the Octagon and is doing a better of using her reach to keep Carmouche way. Pudilova right a right hook that just misses. Carmouche lands a nice low kick. Pudilova with a nice jab and she is beginning to land some nice strikes. Low kick by Pudilova. She flails on a spinning back kick. Carmouche gets inside and is able to land a strong double leg takedown on Pudilova, who immediately begins working for a guillotine choke. Carmouche moves into full mount and Pudilova is in a terrible position here. Using the fence Pudilova is able to get the sweep and she’s no on top of Carmouche. Pudilova slams Carmouche down and lands an elbow. This is the best position she’s had all fight. The 10-second clapper rings and Pudilova finishes strong landing some nasty elbows from top.

Round 3

Round three starts and Pudilova misses on a superman punch attempt. Kick to the body by Pudilova. Axe kick attempt by Pudilova misses. Another superman punch attempt by Pudilova misses. Low kick by Pudilova lands. She continues to circle Carmouche landing low kicks, but they aren’t really damaging. Carmouche lands a low kick of her own. Pudilova looks to land an axe kick but Carmouche catches it and takes Pudilova down to the mat. Carmouche is now in side control with two minutes left. She lands some elbows to the body of Pudilova, who is in a terrible position in the eyes of the judges. Pudilova gets into half guard and nearly sweeps Carmouche. Instead, Carmouche goes for a heel hook and is yanking it hard. Pudilova looks like she lands an illegal kick to a downed opponent while Carmouche is trying to get the heel hook. Pudilova is landing some elbows to the body of Carmouche and now gets on top. Carmouche is looking for an armbar but can’t get it. Pudilova is in top in half guard and lands some big hammerfists before the end of the round. It’s possible that late flurry may sway the judges.

Round 1

Up next is a light heavyweight bout between Gian Villante and Michal Oleksiejczuk. The official in charge of the bout is Marc Goddard. Straight left lands by Oleksiejczuk. Villante returns with a low kick, and another. Overhand right by Villante lands. He follows it up with a kick to the body. Villante lands another hard low kick. Oleksiejczuk lands a left hook to the body and Villante is hurt badly. He falls to the mat and Oleksiejczuk follows him down, lands some punches, and the referee calls the fight off. The body shot is what ended it.

Stefan Struve vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima

Round 1

It’s time for the co-main event, a heavyweight bout between Stefan Struve and Marcos Rogerio de Lima. The third man in the cage is Leon Roberts. Right off the bat, De Lima land a massive overhand right that drops Struve. De Lima follows him to the ground and is on top of Struve landing punches. Struve is trying to tie him up but de Lima is strong on top. He continues to land heavy punches on Struve. Now Struve is working for a kimura but de Lima is staying strong on top of him and gets out of harm’s way. De Lima is landing some heavy punches to Struve’s head now. De Lima continues to hold Struve to the mat and land punches. De Lima moves into full mount. He continues to land heavy punches to the head and body of Struve, and the first round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. De Lima lands another overhand right and uses it to get the clinch. He has a body lock on Struve but Struve is able to reverse it, and then gets reversed himself. Struve is able to get a trip takedown and is now on top of de Lima on the ground. Struve is in half guard now. He’s working on a head-and-arm choke. De Lima is doing a good job of remaining in half guard as Struve tries to get into full mount. Struve is looking for an arm-triangle choke now, and he gets the tap. Great comeback win by Struve.

We’ve finally arrived at the main event, a five-round fight between top light heavyweight contenders Jan Blachowicz and Thiago Santos. Herb Dean is the referee for this main event. They touch gloves. Santos with a body kick. Blachowicz lands a beautiful jab. Blachowicz just misses a high kick, but he lands a body kick for good measure. They exchange heavy low kicks. Blachowicz lands another jab and Santos returns with a low kick. Blachowicz lands a heavy low kick of his own. Santos returns a low kick now. Blachowicz lands a jab but Santos returns with a heavy counter right cross. Blachowicz lands another low kick. Santos lands a heavy left hook but Blachowicz eats it. Santos lands a low kick but Blachowicz catches the kick and nearly lands a double leg takedown. Santos stuffs it and they break. They exchange low kicks and the round is over.

He just misses a spinning wheel kick as Blachowicz circles away. Blachowicz leads with the uppercut but Santos circles away from danger. Blachowicz with the jab and Santos returns fire with a low kick. Blachowicz lands a low kick of his own. Santos just misses landing a huge left hook. Blachowicz lands another low kick. Santos nearly lands a straight left but Blachowicz backs away. The 10-second clapper rings and the round is soon over.

Round 3

Time for the third round. Santos starts off with a low kick. Blachowicz charges in with his chin down and Santos lands a right hook and then a brutal left hook that drops him. Blachowicz is down on the mat and Santos is pounding away at the head of Blachowicz, who is trying his best to cover up. Santos keeps pounding away and the referee has seen enough and the fight is over. Huge win for Santos.
