UFC Fight Night "Swanson vs. Stephens" averaged 704,000 viewers on Fox Sports 1 on Saturday night, according to a tvbythenumbers.com report.

That figure is well behind the June 7 Fight Night offering, which attracted an average audience of 1.214 million viewers to Fox Sports1 --the third most watched card since the UFC began airing on the network last August. That event took place at the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, N.M., and was headlined by a lightweight tilt between Benson Henderson and Rustam Khabilov. It also featured talents such as Diego Sanchez, John Dodson, Ross Pearson and Rafael dos Anjos.

UFC Fight Night “Swanson vs. Stephens” was held at the AT&T Center in San Antonio and saw Cub Swanson outpoint Jeremy Stephens in a five-round featherweight headliner. In the evening’s co-main event, “TUF 17” winner Kelvin Gastelum took a unanimous verdict over Nicholas Musoke.

The card drew an 0.4 rating overall, well behind a Sprint Cup racing, which drew an 0.8 rating on TNT in the 18-49 demographic, giving it the top spot among original programming on cable TV this past Saturday.

Meanwhile, the night’s preliminary draw averaged 500,000 viewers, according to Carleton Curtis, Fox Sports’ Senior Director of Digital Strategy.
