The Bellator 232 lineup continues to take shape, as Robin Van Roosmalen will square off against Cris Lencioni at featherweight, and Patrick Mix will meet Dominic Mazzotta at bantamweight on Oct. 26.
Sherdog.com confirmed the bookings with a promotion official on Monday. Dutch outlet Babrants Dagblad reported Van Roosmalen vs. Lencioni, while MMAjunkie.com initially brought word of Mix vs. Mazzotta. Bellator 232 takes place at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn., and is headlined by the welterweight grand prix final matchup between Rory MacDonald and Douglas Lima.
Van Roosmalen is a former featherweight and lightweight champion with Glory Kickboxing. He owns a 2-0 mark in professional MMA and has been training at Hard Knocks 365 in Florida. His pro kickboxing record is 51-17-3.
Anchored at Gracie Barra Portland, Lencioni halted a two-bout skid with a first-round submission of Adil Benjilany at Bellator 221 on May 11. He is 2-2 under the Bellator banner overall.
Mix improved to 11-0 in his career with a first-round submission of Ricky Bandejas in his promotional debut at Bellator 222. The longtime King of the Cage competitor has finished seven of his triumphs by way of submission.
Known as “The Honey Badger,” Mazzotta last appeared at Bellator 219, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Shawn Bunch to fall to 2-2 within the California-based promotion. Mazzotta is 14-3 overall, with 11 triumphs coming inside the distance.
