WSOF Adds Three Prominent Industry Leaders to Board of Directors
Las Vegas-based MMA promotion World Series of Fighting recently announced the signing of three prominent industry leaders to its board of directors. Joining the WSOF effective immediately are Mark Ford, Mike Stevens and John Weiser.
Ford serves as the Executive Vice President of Global Advertising for Time Inc. His role is to drive overall advertising sales revenue for the company to build upon, and he was responsible for the global business development of Sports Illustrated, SI for Kids Gold and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

Weiser is the President of U.S. Distribution for Sony Pictures Television and oversees all domestic sales operations including sales of feature films, first-run and off-network syndicated programs. He also is charge of sales of Sony Pictures library of titles to U.S. broadcast and cable networks as well as various on-demand platforms.
“We are thrilled to add the diverse sports, media, and brand building expertise that Mark, Mike, and John bring to our Board as we look to continue to grow as a premier destination for MMA fans and sponsors alike,” WSOF CEO Carlos Silva said in a statement.
The promotion’s next fight card, WSOF 23, is headlined by the lightweight rematch between Justin Gaethje and Luis Palomino and set for Friday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT from Comerica Theater in Phoenix, Ariz.
