Alistair Overeem keeps finding ways to win fights.
Even if he never ascends to the top of the UFC’s heavyweight division, the 40-year-old Dutchman’s late-career run has been impressive. That continued in the UFC Fight Night 176 headliner, where he rallied to pound out surging Brazilian Augusto Sakai in the fifth round at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday night. That makes four victories in five outings for “The Demolition Man,” who is but a few seconds away from a five-bout winning streak. On the strength of his latest effort, Overeem moves up one spot from ninth to eighth in Sherdog.com’s latest heavyweight poll.
