Bellator 102 Weigh-In Results: Kongo, Godbeer, Johnson, ‘Spartan’ Cleared for Tourney Semis

Bellator’s ninth-season heavyweight tournament will move forward on schedule, as all four competitors were cleared to compete at Thursday’s Bellator 102 weigh-ins.

Cheick Kongo (235.9) and Mark Godbeer (239.6) both checked in on point for their headlining attraction, which takes place Friday evening at the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, Calif. The event’s main draw airs live on Spike TV and will also see Lavar Johnson (253.2) battle Vinicius Kappke de Queiroz (236.2) in the second heavyweight semifinal.

Also on the televised card, Rafael Silva (136) will lock horns with Anthony Leone (135.7) to determine the 2013 Summer Series bantamweight tournament winner. Meanwhile, the winner of Mikkel Parlo’s (185) clash with Jason Butcher (185.6) will earn a spot in the Season 9 middleweight tournament finals against either Joe Pacheco (186) or Brennan Ward (185.2).

Prior to the main card broadcast, the preliminary draw streams live on and is highlighted by the return of heavyweight tournament veteran Thiago Santos (264.8), who squares off with Javy Ayala (264.6). The undercard stream will additionally showcase a featherweight meeting between former Tachi Palace Fights champion Isaac DeJesus (145.3) and 16-fight pro Scott Cleve.
