Bellator Reveals ‘Dynamite’ Tournament Bracket: Davis vs. Newton, ‘King Mo’ vs. Vassell
Bellator MMA on Friday announced the matchups for its four-man, one-night light heavyweight tournament set to take place at Bellator 142 “Dynamite.”
The first round of the tournament will see onetime UFC contender Phil Davis make his Bellator debut against former champion Emanuel Newton. On the other side of the bracket, Muhammed Lawal -- better known as “King Mo” -- will lock horns with England’s Linton Vassell. The winner of the tournament will earn the right to fight for Bellator’s 205-pound title.

Bellator 142 will be headlined by a light heavyweight tussle between current Bellator champ Liam McGeary and former UFC champion Tito Ortiz.
The event, a co-promotion with Glory which will also feature kickboxing bouts, will air live on Spike TV from SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., on Sept. 19.
