Conor McGregor Willing to Fight in Co-Main Event for ‘Rightful Share’ of UFC Ownership
Conor McGregor isn’t necessarily opposed to being slotted in the co-main event of a UFC card. He just wants what he believes is rightfully his.

“There’s no problem with that. But if they want me to push that – and I have no problem pushing that – give me my rightful share in the UFC company. That’s all I ask. You can put me on the first fight of ESPN+, no problem. So let’s see how it goes.”
It’s not the first time McGregor has expressed interest in ownership of the company. After he defeated Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 to become two-division champion, the Irish star hinted that he would need a stake in the promotion to be enticed to return to the Octagon.
McGregor had recently been linked to a bout with Donald Cerrone, but “Cowboy” claimed that talks fell apart when the SBG Ireland representative refused to be slotted in a co-headlining position. However, McGregor recently said that he is in negotiations with the promotion for a bout in July.
“We’re currently in negotiations,” McGregor said. “We’re aiming for July – we’ll see what happens. I am staying ready. This morning I was doing incline sprints on the treadmill on my program, the McGregor F.A.S.T. program, staying in a hotel room. So we’re staying on it, getting work in as we go.”
