Dana White: Previously Postponed UFC Bouts to Be Rebooked; UFC 249 to Have Full Card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship was recently forced to postpone three events due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to UFC president Dana White, all of those bouts will be rebooked at a later date – it’s just a matter of when.

“All these fights are being rescheduled,” White said during an Instagram Live interview with Yahoo Sports’ Kevin Iole.

“Once we get this Khabib [Nurmagomedov] fight on, we’re rolling. We’re back in business and we’re rolling. And like I told earlier, everybody that’s going to fight is going to fight because they want to, not because they have to.”

It has been well documented that the Las Vegas-based promotion is planning to go forward with UFC 249 and the lightweight championship clash headlined by Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson on April 18. The location for that event has yet to be announced.

In a separate interview with ESPN, White said that UFC 249 would feature a full lineup, not just the main event and an abbreviated card.

"Full card," White said. "We're going to face some problems, I'm sure. There are always problems with every card we put on, and with this situation, you expect there will be more, but we will still find a way to promote these fights. We always f---ing do."

The three postponed events were as follows: UFC Fight Night 171 in London on March 21 headlined by Tyron Woodley vs. Leon Edwards; UFC on ESPN 8 in Columbus, Ohio, on March 28 headlined by Francis Ngannou vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik and UFC Fight Night 172 in Portland, Ore., on April 11 headlined by Alistair Overeem vs. Walt Harris.
