One Championship: Dawn of Valor Card Announced

One Championship is returning to Indonesia in October for One: Dawn of Valor, with MMA and kickboxing championship bouts atop the card.

The promotion announced the majority of the lineup on Thursday, with the headliner a welterweight title fight between divisional kingpin Zebaztian Kadestam (12-4) and challenger Kiamrian Abbasov (21-4). Co-headlining the card will be a kickboxing championship rematch between Regian Eersel (19-4, 11 KOs) and Nieky Holzken (92-15, 1 NC; 56 KOs). One Championship: Dawn of Valor will take place at the Istora Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Oct. 25.

Sweden's Kadestam ran into a buzzsaw of Ben Askren when he vied for the welterweight strap in September 2017, suffering his first career defeat by knockout. The loss emboldened the Swede, as he went on to finish Agilan Thani to earn a shot at the vacant belt. From there, he knocked out Tyler McGuire to earn gold, and defended it in March by forcing Georgy Kichigin to quit on the stool after the second round. All but one of Kadestam's victories have come by stoppage.

Although Abbasov had his 10-fight win streak snapped in his One debut in March 2018, the Kyrgyzstan native rebounded with a pair of finishes over Thani and longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship vet Yushin Okami.

Also appearing on the card will be the debut of former UFC bantamweight contender John Lineker, as he will face off against fellow finisher Muin Gafurov. Finally, two-time "The Ultimate Fighter" participant Jonathan Nunez will make his promotional debut against four-time UFC competitor and former lightweight King of Pancrase Kazuki Tokudome.
