Savvy bettors can take home some big money after UFC 249 on Saturday with a few choice bets.

On Friday, sportsbook BetOnline released and updated its series of fight lines for UFC 249. All 12 bouts have a full spread of prop options, including the various methods of victory or whether the fight will reach the scorecards. Additionally, several more specific prop bets including occurrences during the evening have cropped up as well. For specific analysis and potential betting advice for this event, Prime Picks breaks down five different matchups throughout this potentially thrilling card.

Tony Ferguson is currently a -200 favorite to defeat Justin Gaethje (+170) for the interim lightweight strap. Essentially, one would need to bet $200 on Ferguson in order to win $100, while putting $100 on Gaethje would make them an additional $170 -- if that respective fighter won. Riding a 12-fight win streak with nine finishes along the way coming into this bout, Ferguson is likewise a favorite to win the fight by stoppage (-140). Bettors do not expect this fight will end up in the hands of the judges, with Ferguson vs. Gaethje Doesn't Go the Distance at -425.

Beyond the standard props for most bouts, a few uniquely tailored to these men have also come up. The reasonable expectation by most analysts is that at least one of these fighters will draw blood before the night ends. Ferguson sports even odds that he will bleed first, while Gaethje donating plasma to the cage is a favored -140. It is also widely anticipated that the winner will call out lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, so the line on whether the winner will say “Khabib” in their post-fight interview at -225. It is not nearly as expected that the victor will acknowledge the coronavirus, with the winner saying the word “corona” or “Covid” during their post-fight interview. The affirmative to that line is +200, while those that don’t see Ferguson or Gaethje mentioning it can pursue a -300 spot.

The event as a whole also contains a few prop bets worth considering. The over/under for total decisions on the 12-fight card is at 5.5, while the total number of knockouts is also 5.5. Rounding out that list, the over/under for submissions sits at 1.5, meaning that if you place money on the “over” and two or more submissions take place, your bet will hit. Other than these specific finishes, one final significant set of lines should be acknowledged.

A bettor can place money on which fight ends the quickest throughout the course of the night. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the three heavyweight fights on the card are in the top four spots in that line. Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Francis Ngannou sits as the most favored to end before any other, at +110. The Gaethje-Ferguson headliner is next at +150, followed by Fabricio Werdum vs. Alexey Oleynik at +170, Greg Hardy vs. Yorgan De Castro at +200 and Ryan Spann vs. Sam Alvey rounding out the top five at +225. The least favored fight to end before all the rest is the lone women’s bout on the card between Michelle Waterson and Carla Esparza, which is a sky-high +3000.

UFC 249 will take place on May 9 at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. While Ferguson vs. Gaethje headlines the event, the co-main event draws a bantamweight championship affair between divisional king Henry Cejudo and ex-champ Dominick Cruz.
