Alex White vs. Dan Moret

Round 1

The very first fight of the night is a lightweight bout between Alex White and Dan Moret. The third man in the cage is Marcio Laselva. They touch gloves and the fight is officially on. Moret lands a straight left and rushes in on White, clinching him against the cage. Moret is working hard for a body-lock takedown but White is defending the takedown well. Moret lands knees to the thighs while the ref instructs the fighters to work. More knees from Moret, but he can’t get the takedown. Moret breaks and lands an elbow on the break, then immediately goes into the clinch. Moret is now working on a single-leg takedown. In a scramble White gets Moret into a guillotine choke but Moret gets out of it. He immediately goes back into the clinch and then drops down for a double leg takedown but quickly switches it to a body lock takedown and completes it. Moret is now on top of White on the ground. Moret is looking to gain mount on White, who is doing his best to defend Moret from advancing on him. Now Moret is landing some nasty punches and elbows on White but White uses it as an opportunity to scramble and get back to his feet. White now has Moret in the clinch and the round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. White has a bad cut that was being worked on in-between rounds and his coaches told him to get going. Immediately White goes into the clinch against the fence, but Moret fends him off. They are now in the center of the Octagon. Moret lands a hard low kick and then a left hand. Moret goes into the clinch but White lands a counter left hook and then locks up Moret in a a high-elbow guillotine. He is forced to let go of the choke and drops down for a double-leg takedown. White is working for the takedown but Moret reverses him. They break. White lands a left straight of his own. Moret land a right hook and then a low kick. Moret appears to be tiring now. White with another straight left. They are now biting down on their mouth pieces and swinging sloppy hooks at each other. Moret slips on the mat but White doesn’t follow him down. White lands a counter right hook as Moret moves in. Moret looks to be hurt by the late strikes of White, who had a much better round there.

Round 3

The third round begins and it is a tied fight. Moret dives down for a double leg takedown but White defends. They are now back in the clinch against the fence. White reverses Moret and briefly gets the fight to the mat but Moret gets back up. They break, but Moret goes right back into the clinch. Moret is working for a single-leg takedown but White is refusing to be taken down. White reverses positions against the fence and it’s now him working for a double-leg takedown. White completes the double-leg takedown and now has Moret on the mat with two minutes left. Moret gets back up but White refuses to let go of him. White lands a hard knee on the break but Moret enters the clinch again. There’s a minute left in the fight now and anyone can still win it. They continue to jockey for position along the fence. Moret drops down for a double leg takedown but White is defending it well and lands the switch. White is now on top of Moret on the mat but Moret grabs a leg and gets back up. They stand in the center of the Octagon and with 10 seconds left both men just start swinging caution to the wind with wild, looping hooks on each other’s chin. White appeared to land the better of the punches in that final exchange, but the judges will decide this one.

Alex Morono vs. Zak Ottow

Round 1

It’s time for the next bout on the card, a welterweight matchup between Zak Ottow and Alex Morono. The referee is Rob Hinds. No touch of gloves for this one. Morono lands a straight right. Jab from Morono. Another straight right from Morono. He continues to land the jab on Ottow, who hasn’t found his timing yet. Morono lands a counter straight right. Hard, stiff jab by Ottow lands. Ottow with a hard kick to the body. He lands another body kick. Morono continues to pressure Ottow against the fence but Ottow is doing a good job of circling away before the strikes land. Morono just misses landing a straight right. Morono lands a spinning back kick to the body of Ottow, who dives under and lands a double leg takedown. But during the takedown attempt Morono locks in a guillotine choke and nearly gets taps Outtow out. Somehow Ottow gets out of the choke but Morono is now in full mount landing nasty elbows. He switches to back control and is pounding away on Ottow’s head. Morono has Ottow flattened out and lands some heavy elbows to his head before the referee jumps in and saves Ottow, stopping the fight for a Morono victory. Upon further review, Ottow verbally submitted.

Louis Smolka vs. Matt Schnell

Round 1

The next match is a bantamweight contest between Matt Schnell and Louis Smolka. The third man in the cage is Marcio Laselva. Schnell takes the center of the Octagon and lands a leg kick. Smolka with a left hook that just misses. Schnell with a left hook of his own that lands. Smolka ducks his head down and lands an overhand right right. Schnell returns with one of his own that lands hard and Smolka looks hurt. Schnell gets into the clinch and lands a knee. He lets go and both men exchange hooks on the break. Schnell gets into clinch again and lands a body lock takedown on Smolka. Schnell is now working in side control on the mat. Schnell locks in a guillotine choke and falls to his back. He is yanking the choke hard but somehow Smolka is defending it. Schnell has to let it go after Smolka defends it well but he continues to chain submissions. Schnell has switched to a triangle choke now. It looks really tight and almost immediately Smolka is forced to tap out. Wow. Impressive performance by Schnell.

Maurice Greene vs. Jeff Hughes

Round 1

It’s now time for the heavyweights as Maurice Greene takes on Jeff Hughes. The referee is Nick Berens. They touch gloves. Greene lands a low kick to start off. He leads off the jab and lands a low kick behind it. Hughes lands a jab of his own and follows it up with a low kick himself but Greene checks it. Greene continues to lead off the jab, using every inch of his 80.5-inch reach. Straight left by Greene and then a body kick follows it up. Hughes starts to work his own jab. Greene lands a right hook that briefly wobbles Hughes. Greene continues to march down Hughes. Low kick lands by Hughes. Greene continues to move forward landing his jab. Greene lands a hard elbow and has Hughes against the fence but Hughes is able to circle away. Hughes steps in and lands an elbow of his own. Greene rushes forward and has Hughes against the fence now, doing work with his dirty boxing in the clinch. Hughes manages to break free and lands a jab of his own off the break. Greene continues to lead off his own jab. Hughes just misses landing an overhand right but uses it to close the distance. He now has Greene against the fence and is fishing fo a double-leg takedown. Greene is able to shake him off and get back to the center of the cage. Hughes just misses cracking Greene with a massive overhand right. The 10-second clapper rings and Hughes lands a hard right hook just before the round ends.

Round 2

The second round begins. The ref warns both men not to extend their fingers out. Hughes is now the one leading with his jab. Greene leaves his chin exposed and Hughes lands a right hook. Greene’s hands have dropped down now as he looks to be a bit tired. Greene flails on a spinning back kick attempt. Hughes with an overhand right and Greene is now on his bike. Hughes is now the one moving forward. He lands a straight right to the body that has Greene visibility hurt. Hughes gets into the clinch against the fence but Greene gets out of it. Back in the center of the Octagon now and Greene lands a hard jab that nearly drops Hughes. He looks to be hurt but recovers rather quickly. Greene tries to move inside and Hughes lands a counter left hook. Hughes with a leaping left hook that just misses. He just misses landing an overhand right. The reach is a problem for Hughes right now. Greene with a hard low kick. Hughes misses another left hook. Both men exchange low kicks. The 10-second clapper rings and Greene lands a spinning back kick before the bell sounds.

Round 3

The third round begins and both men give each other props as the crowd cheers. Greene takes the center of the Octagon again. Greene just misses landing an overhand right. He follows it up with a hard body kick. Hughes clips Greene with a right hook. Greene lands a hard low kick that drops Hughes, who quickly gets back up. Hughes with a hard jab. Another jab by Hughes, who likely needs a finish at this point. Hard jab by Greene lands. Hughes lands an overhand right but Greene isn’t phased by it. Two minutes left now and Hughes likely needs to get a finish. Hughes lands a straight right. Greene with a weak spinning back kick attempt. Hughes clips Greene with a left hook and then lands a right high kick that wobbles Greene. But he can’t follow it up with anything meaningful. There’s only 30 seconds left now. 10 seconds left now. Both men exchange weak spinning hook kicks that don’t land and the fight is now over.

Grant Dawson vs. Julian Erosa

Round 1

It’s time for a featherweight bout between Julian Erosa and Grant Dawson. The referee is Herb Dean. They touch gloves. Dawson pressures forward and drops down for a double leg takedown and completes it with a heavy slam. Erosa locks in a triangle choke in a scramble and he is landing heavy elbows to the back of Dawson’s head. Dawson manages to escape but lets Erosa back up. Dawson lands a left hook and uses it to get inside. He now has Erosa against the fence and is fishing for a single-leg takedown and manages to briefly complete it. Erosa gets back up but Erosa uses a body lock takedown to get him down to the mat again. Erosa gets back up by using his upkicks to create space. Jab by Dawson and Erosa lands an uppercut but Dawson ducks under and lands a double-leg takedown. Dawson is working from the top with ground and pound but Erosa gets back to his feet. Immediately Dawson gets back into the clinch and nearly slams Erosa again but he defends it. Erosa gets back into position for a body lock takedown and carries Erossa to the center of the cage, slamming him to the canvas. Dawson moves into side control now. Erosa bucks him off and Dawson is now in the guard. Erosa is doing a good job staying busy from his back but Dawson’s takedowns top control was the story of the round.

Round 2

Round two begins. Dawson immediately goes in for a single leg takedown and gets it. He’s on top of Erosa landing punches from the top. Erosa scrambles and gets back to his feet but Dawson is backing shoving him against the fence looking for another single leg. Erosa defends and breaks away. Low kick by Dawson lands. Erosa returns with a teep kick. Another low kick by Dawson. Erosa gets inside and Dawson uses it as an opportunity to get back into the clinch. He is now fishing for a single leg takedown but can’t get it. Still, he continues to stick to Erosa like glue. Erosa breaks away and lands a heavy overhand right. Erosa lands a heavy low kick that knocks Dawson to the mat. Jab from Dawson and he uses it as a chance to close the distance, but Erosa reverses position and is now the one doing the pushing along the fence. Dawson breaks free and circles away. Another low kick by Erosa knocks Dawson down. Erosa appears to have a significant cardio advantage. Dawson lands a flying knee that pushes Erosa back. Dawson with a right hook and he has Erosa hurt. He moves forward landing more heavy punches on Erosa. Now Erosa lands a spinning back fist but Dawson lands a counter right straight that knocks Erosa down. Both men are throwing everything they have now. Erosa with a huge uppercut and then a huge left hook. Both men are in close landing heavy strikes. Dawson with a spinning back fist and the round is over.

Round 3

Third round begins and they exchange a huge in the center of the cage. Low kick by Dawson. Erosa with a wild right hook that lands. Dawson grabs a single leg and whips Erosa to the ground. Dawson manages to take Erosa’s back in a scramble. He is now working for his favorite submission, the rear-naked choke, but can’t get it. Dawson is now in the guard of Erosa and in a scramble takes the back once again. Erosa scrambles out of it but Dawson is still in a prime position on the mat. Dawson has the back again and is pounding away at the head of Erosa. He is now on top of Erosa landing ground-and-pound. Dawson gains mount and then switches back to back control, continuing to land punches from the top. Now Dawson is in side control and is looking for a modified rear-naked choke with no hooks. Erosa is doing a good job of surviving and manages to get Dawson back into his guard. Dawson continues to work from top position and the 10-second clappers rings. A few more heavy punches from the top by Dawson and the fight is over.

Round 1

The next fight is a women’s bantamweight bout between Marion Reneau and Yana Kunitskaya. The official in the cage is Nick Berens. No touch of gloves to begin this one. Kunitskaya lands a jab and then a low kick. Reneau lands an overhand right. Kunitskaya lands a jab and pushes Reneau into the fence, landing a body lock takedown in the process. Now Kunitskaya is on top of Reneau on the mat, using her size to shove her against the fence. Kunitskaya stands back up and lands some heavy kicks to the thighs of Reneau, who uses the space as a chance to explode back to her feet. But Kunitskaya continues to press Reneau against the fence. Knees to the body by Kunitskaya, who is clearly the bigger fighter. Reneau lands some elbows from the clinch and uses them to break away, but Kunitskaya did a lot of damage with those knees. Kunitskaya flails on a spinning back fist. She lands a jab and a low kick instead. Reneau with a counter straight right and then a jab. Low kick by Kunitskaya, and then a spinning back fist nearly lands on Reneau’s skull. Kunitskaya with a body kick but Reneau catches it and throws Kunitskaya to the mat. Reneau finishes the round on top of the Russian landing ground and pound.

Round two begins. Reneau with a straight right down the pipe. Kunitskaya closes the distance and gets Reneau in the clinch along the fence. She continues to land hard knees on Reneau along the cage but Reneau gets out. Reneau with another straight right on the break. Kunitskaya misses a spinning back fist but nearly lands a high kick. Reneau with an overhand right and then a straight right to the body of Kunitskaya. Axe kick attempt by Kunitskaya. Low kick by the Russian that’s checked by Reneau. Low kick by Kunitskaya. She throws a body kick that Reneau catches and lands a straight right counter after. Left hook by Reneau lands. Jab from Reneau. Low kick by Kunitskaya. Reneau with a straight right. Another straight right by Reneau, this time to the body. Kunitskaya with a jab of her own, and then a low kick. Reneau is moving forward but Kunitskaya is landing some nice counter low kicks to keep her away. The 10-second clapper rings and Kunitskaya lands a straight right that cuts open Reneau’s face to end the round.

Time for the third round now. Reneau continues to march forward but Kunitskaya is doing a great of countering her with kicks as she gets close. Reneau with a nice jab. Another hard low kick by Kunitskaya. Reneau lands a hard left hook that might have been her best punch of the night, but Kunitskaya continues to circle away. Straight right to the body by Reneau and then a left hook follows. Reneau is doing her best work of the fight this round. Reneau with a jab-straight combo. It appears that Kunitskaya’s nose is broken at this point. Hard right hook by Reneau lands. Kunitskaya is just surviving at this point. Reneau continues to march forward landing jabs and following them with straight rights but Kunitskaya continues to circle. The 10-second clapper rings. One last straight right by Reneau and the fight is over.

The fighters touch gloves to begin the bout and Martin immediately lands a low kick. Moraes with an overhand right that misses but he closes the distance and gets a sloppy single leg takedown. Martin is able to briefly gets back up but Moraes locks in a guillotine choke and the fight ends up back on the mat. Martin is in half guard so he is in no danger of being tapped at this point. The fight is in a stall position and the crowd is booing to have the fighters stood back up. The ref warns the fighters to work, but he’s finally had enough and stands them back up. Martin with a nice jab and a straight right behind it. Kick to the body by Martin. Low kick by Martin. Moraes with a body kick of his own. Martin with a low kick and Moraes returns with one of his own. Martin lands another low kick and circles away as Moraes tries to hit him with a left and and right hook. Another hard low kick by Martin. The 10-second clapper hits and the round is soon over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Moraes is moving forward and Martin is backing up and circling away. Martin with a jab and then a low kick. His output thus far in this fight has been impressive. Martin just misses landing a straight right as Moraes ducks away from it. Moraes with a sloppy left hook that nearly lands but Martin moves away from the danger. Martin with a left hook and Moraes lands a right hook of his own. He uses it to close the distance and briefly gets the clinch but Martin breaks free. On the break Martin lands a low kick. Jab from Martin and Moraes lands a counter left hook. Moraes continues to march forward and tries to land a flying knee that clips Martin in the ground and the ref briefly pauses the action. Moraes lands an overhand right. Jab from Martin and he circles. He continues to land the jab and circle away. Another hard low kick by Martin, who has had a high volume of output in this round. Moraes continues to move forward but he can’t land anything. The 10-second clapper rings and Moraes gets a late body lock takedown but it’s far too late as the round is now over.

Round 3

Third and final round now and Moraes almost assuredly needs a finish. They touch gloves. Low kick by Martin. He closes the distance and now has Moraes pressed against the fence. Moraes breaks free. Martin with a jab and then another calf kick, which has been money for him this entire fight. Moraes looks for a high kick but misses it. Martin lands a low kick in return. He continues to land his jab and low kick at a high rate. Moraes moves forward and tries to land a wild overhand right but once again Martin moves away. Martin closes the distance and presses Moraes against the fence. Moraes tries to land a wild right hook but misses it. There’s just over two minutes left in this fight and Moraes needs a finish. He closes the distance and is looking to get a single-leg takedown against the fence but Martin is defending it well and breaks free. Martin moves forward and works off his jab. Martin with a nice uppercut but Moraes blocks it. Martin lands another low kick and Moraes uses it to close the distance. Moraes locks up a body lock takedown and completes it. He’s in side control now but only has 20 seconds left to work. He tries to lock in a guillotine choke for a Hail Mary submission but the final bell rings and the fight is over.

Round 1

The first bout on the main card is a middleweight matchup between Tim Boetsch and Omari Akhmedov. The referee for this match is Herb Dean. They touch gloves to begin the bout. Akhmedov lands a clean left high kick to the jaw that somehow doesn’t rock Boetsch. They clinch against the fence. Akhmedov is looking for a body lock takedown but Boetsch displays solid takedown defense and doesn’t fall over. They jockey for position along the fence. Akhmedov drops down for a single-leg takedown but can’t get it. He switches to a double leg but Boetsch defends it as well. Knee to the body in the clinch from Akhmedov and they break. Akhmedov just misses landing a right hook. He lands a straight right instead. Low kick by Akhmedov lands. Boetsch tries to close the distance but Akhmedov lands a left hook. Akhmedov looks to land a double leg takedown but Boetsch defends it. The 10-second clapper rights and the round is soon over.

Boetsch is now the one walking forward but Akhmedov lands a counter left hook. Akhmedov catches a kick by Boetsch and lands a counter straight right. Boetsch continues to march forward but Akhmedov closes the distance and gets into the clinch against the cage. Akhmedov is now utilizing dirty boxing and knees from the clinch to roughen up Boetsch. Akhmedov gets hit in the groin and Herb Dean calls time. Akhmedov says he’s fine and Dean calls time in. Knees to the body by Akhmedov from the clinch and the round ends.

Round 3

Third and final round and Boetsch needs another miracle comeback if he wants to get his hand raised. Boetsch comes out moving forward but Akhmedov is doing a good job of countering him as he tries to get inside. Low kick by Akhmedov and he continues to circle. Boetsch now has his back against the fence and Akhmedov lands a left hook. Boetsch with a front kick and he moves forward. Kick to the body by Boetsch but Ahmedov partially catches it. Left hook by Akhmedov lands. Boetsch continues to march down Akhmedov, who continues to circle away. Dean is warning Akhmedov for timidity. Finally Akhmedov opens up with his offense and lands a hard right hook on the chin of Boetsch. There’s just a minute left in the fight now. Boetsch continues to walk forward but can’t land anything significant. Boetsch finally closes the distance and the two fighters exchange short hooks. Akhmedov clinches up Boetsch against the fence. Boetsch looks for a throw but can’t get it and the fight is soon over.

Round 1

Up next is a lightweight bout between Drew Dober and Beneil Dariush. The official in the cage is Rob Hinds. Dober with a left hook that nearly lands but Dariush returns with a hard jab of his own. Dariush with a hard low kick but Dober lands a hard left hook that rocks him. Dober clinches up Dariush, which appears to be a mistake as this is his wheelhouse. Dober with a right hook that rocks Dariush, who grabs the clinch to regain his wits. Dober is pushing Dariush against the fence but Dariush breaks away. Hard low kick by Dober. Dariush throws a high kick that doesn’t land. Dober lands a straight left and a right hook that appears to rock Dariush. Somehow Dariush manages to grab the clinch yet again but Dober is showing off some excellent takedown defense here. They break. Dober with another right hook. Dariush with a hard low kick. Once again they close the distance and clinch up. Dober lands a knee to the body and manages to stuff another takedown attempt by Dariush. Dober with a hard left hook to the body of Dariush. Dober with a flying knee that just misses and the first round is over.

Round 2

Round two begins. Dober drops Dariush with a high kick to start the round. Dariush quickly regains his wits, stands back up, and locks up the body of Dober against the fence. Dariush is working hard for a double leg takedown and gets it. Dariush moves into half guard and is looking to gain mount. Dober is doing a good job of locking up Dariush’s legs to prevent him from advancing. Dariush finally advances into full mount and is landing some heavy ground and pound from top position. Try as he might, Dober can’t get up to his feet. Dariush is in mount and raining down punches. In a scramble he is able to take the back of Dober and nearly switches to an armbar but Dober slips out and the fight is briefly back on the feet. Dober goes into the clinch but Dariush reverses and switches to a single leg takedown and gets the fight back down to the mat. Dariush is looking to lock up a kimura from half guard but in the transition switches to an armbar. It’s an unorthodox submission attempt given that Dariush has his back on the mat, but Dober is in serious pain and decides to tap out, giving Dariush the victory.

Round 1

Heavyweight action is up next as Ben Rothwell takes on Blagoy Ivanov. The referee is Herb Dean. They touch gloves and the fight begins. There appears to be a considerable size advantage for Rothwell, who lands a hard low kick that drops Ivanov for a moment. Ivanov with a straight left to the body. Jab from Ivanov. Rothwell misses landing a right high kick and Ivanov misses landing a counter overhand left. Rothwell lands a left hook that rocks Ivanov. An uppercut is returned by Ivanov. Low kick by Rothwell. Ivanov with a right hook that lands on Rothwell. Ivanov continues to stick and move as Rothwell moves forward on him. Straight left to the body by Ivanov. Round two begins. Once again it’s Rothwell in the center of the Octagon and Ivanov circling around him, sticking and moving. Ivanov lands a right hook and circles away. Straight left by Ivanov lands. Rothwell with a left hook of his own as he marches forward. Rothwell throws a high kick that is blocked by Ivanov, who lands a right hook of his own. Another right hook by Ivanov. Rothwell with a left hook to the body. Rothwell with a jab and then a left hook behind it. Ivanov with a right hook that appears to rock Rothwell. They are now in the center of the Octagon trading leather. Rothwell’s face is busted up from the strikes of Ivanov. Rothwell returns fire with a low kick. Rothwell with a left hook and a straight right but Ivanov circles away. Rothwell with a jab that hurts Ivanov’s eye. 10 seconds left and the round is now over.

Round 3

The third round begins and there’s a good chance this fight is tied. It has been a very competitive fight to this point, albeit not that entertaining. Ivanov with a heavy left hook but Rothwell shoves him away. Rothwell tries to land a high kick but once again Ivanov circles away. There’s some confusion over a groin kick that generates a laugh from the commentators and the fighters but the fight continues. Ivanov with a straight left to the body and he lands a right hook behind it. Rothwell with a straight right of his own and nearly lands a left hook. Low kick by Rothwell. Both men are wearing it on their faces at this point in the fight. Ivanov with a low kick. Rothwell with a jab and a right hook behind it. Ivanov continues to stick and move. Straight left by Ivanov backs up Rothwell and he lands a wild left hook behind it. Rothwell with a high kick and then an elbow in the final 10 seconds and the fight is now over.

It’s now time for what should be an exciting welterweight bout between Tim Means and Niko Price. Rob Hinds is the referee for this contest. They touch gloves. Low kick by Price. Means with a cracking straight left. Another low kick by Price and he lands a straight right that rocks Means. Price has Means rocked badly and on the retreat. He’s landing punches and knees but Means regains his wits, locks up the body, and slams Price to the ground. Means is now on top of Price landing ground and pound. Price is trying to get up to his feet but Means continues to strike him to the body. Price is finally up to his feet. Means with a straight right down the pipe. Price with a low kick. Means with a straight left now. Means attempts to close the distance but Price shakes him off. Means with a short right hook that wobbles Price’s head. Means with a left hook and a right straight behind it. Hard left hook lands by Means. Another straight left by Means and it’s incredible that Price ate that punch. Another straight left by Means right down the pipe. Now a right hook by Means. It looks like Price is hurt but Price lands a right hook that drops Means. Price jumps down and lands ground and pound and the referee jumps in and stops the fight . Fantastic fight, best match of the card so far by far. On replay, it appears Means may have broken his leg or ankle. Devastating finish regardless.

Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos vs. Curtis Millender

Round 1

Up next is the co-main event, a welterweight matchup between Curtis Millender and Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos. The referee is Rob Hinds. Dos Santos with a kick to the body. He then changes levels, perhaps surprising Millender, and lands a double leg takedown. Millender is working on a guillotine but Dos Santos gets out of it. Elbows from the top by dos Santos, who moves into half guard. In a scramble dos Santos takes the back of Millender. Dos Santos is not able to get into a position for a submission but transitions into full mount. He then transitions again and takes the back of Millender and locks in the rear-naked choke. A few seconds later and Millender taps out. Wow, another amazing performance by Dos Santos.

Derrick Lewis vs. Junior dos Santos

Round 1

We’ve finally arrived at the main event, a five-round heavyweight bout between knockout artists Junior dos Santos and Derrick Lewis. The referee for the main event is Herb Dean. Lewis lands a hard leg kick and dos Santos returns with one of his own. Lewis with a high kick but dos Santos blocks it. Dos Santos accidentally poked Lewis in the eye and Herb Dean pauses the fight. Dean gives dos Santos a stern warning to keep his hand closed. Lewis with a body kick. Dos Santos with a spinning back fist. Lewis catches him with a counter straight right that knocks dos Santos backwards, though he doesn’t fall down. Dos Santos with a massive overhand right that rocks Lewis. As Dos Santos moves in lewis lands a right hook of his own that sends dos Santos backwards. Crazy heavyweight action here. Lewis just misses landing an overhand right as dos Santos ducks under it. Dos Santos with a straight right. Low kick by dos Santos. Lewis just misses landing a high kick. Spinning back kick by dos Santos that hurts Lewis. He is clutching over in pain. As dos Santos rushes in Lewis lands a right hook on him. It looks like he may be playing possum but Lewis is covering up now and dos Santos is teeing off on Lewis. He doesn't get the finish and the round is over. This is wild. What a round.

Round two begins. Lewis with another high kick that is partially blocked by dos Santos. Lewis lands a hard low kick. He nearly catches dos Santos with an overhand right but dos Santos scoots away. Another high kick by Lewis but again it’s partially blocked by dos Santos. Dos Santos moves in and lands an overhand right that badly hurts Lewis. He’s teeing off on Lewis now with punches. Lewis falls to the mat and dos Santos continues to land ground and pound as Herb Dean rushes in and stops the fight. Fantastic performance by the former champion.
