How to Watch UFC Fight Night 179

Brian KnappOct 09, 2020

As Petr Yan sits atop the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s bantamweight division, worthy contenders are doing their part to meet the bar he has set.

Former World Series of Fighting champion Marlon Moraes and Elevation Fight Team standout Cory Sandhagen—ranked No. 1 and No. 4 in the latest rankings at 135 pounds—will lock horns in the UFC Fight Night 179 main event on Saturday at the Flash Forum in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, with the winner perhaps putting himself in position for a title shot sometime in 2021.

UFC Fight Night “Moraes vs. Sandhagen”—which streams to ESPN+ at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT—also features a featherweight co-headliner matching Edson Barboza with Makwan Amirkhani, a middleweight scrap pitting Markus Perez against Dricus Du Plessis, a featherweight affair slotting Youssef Zalal opposite Ilia Topuria and a pair of heavyweight tilts, as Ben Rothwell faces Marcin Tybura and Tom Aspinall confronts Alan Baudot. In addition, ESPN+ will provide coverage of the entire seven-fight undercard at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT, with Tom Breese-K.B. Bhullar anchoring a healthy preliminary slate.
