A welterweight matchup between Zak Cummings and Gunnar Nelson has been added to the UFC’s return to Ireland.
UFC officials announced the matchup on Wednesday, revealing that Cummings will replace the injured Ryan LaFlare at the July 19 event, which takes place at The O2 in Dublin. UFC Fight Night “McGregor vs. Miller” is headlined by a lightweight clash between Conor McGregor and Cole Miller.

Cummings, 29, rides a four-fight winning streak into his clash with Nelson. “The Ultimate Fighter 17” alumnus made the cut to welterweight last summer and has gone 2-0 at 170 pounds, submitting Ben Alloway last August before outpointing Yan Cabral earlier this month at UFC Fight Night “Brown vs. Silva.”
Nelson, 25, has never been bested as a professional and owns three UFC victories to his credit, most recently tapping out Omari Akhmedov on March 8. The Icelander has earned eight of his 12 wins by submission and has gone the distance only twice in 13 pro outings.
